A Soul's Life
Book 1 · The Soul
The Soul begins a five-part journey through the experiences of embodied life.
A curious soul contemplates the beauty and complexity of earthly existence: sunlight and wind, emotion and growth, relationship and choice. Through rhyming poetry and full-page illustration, Navaji introduces metaphysical questions in language intended to remain approachable, visual, and conversational.

The page is not decorated.
It is inhabited.
Navaji writes and illustrates the series as one integrated work.
Cosmic landscapes, luminous figures, color, scale, and movement carry meaning alongside the poetry. The illustrations are meant to create a visual space where a young reader can encounter ideas that may be difficult to explain directly in words.

Written from the same life
that makes the images.
Navaji's work as an author does not sit apart from his painting, choreography, teaching, photography, or spiritual study. Writing is another way he translates internal experience into a form that can be shared.
A Soul's Life emerged from questions he has carried through dance, visual art, Pranic Healing, education, and years of inquiry into consciousness and embodiment. The books are intentionally gentle in tone, but they are not afraid of large subjects: death, purpose, love, self-worth, gratitude, interdependence, and the possibility that a human life may hold more mystery than we can immediately explain.
06 · For readers of all ages
A book can be a doorway
into conversation.
The series gives adults and children a shared vocabulary for discussing questions that are often difficult to begin: What is a soul? What does it mean to be alive? What makes a life meaningful?
The poetry, illustration, and glossary invite curiosity without requiring a child to already understand philosophical or spiritual language.
The books are written so that older readers can encounter the same pages differently—through memory, grief, parenthood, spiritual inquiry, or simple reflection on the human experience.
Navaji welcomes conversations with educators, libraries, arts organizations, interviewers, and communities interested in the relationship between art, philosophy, childhood, and meaning-making.

FAQs
About the series, future books, language editions, and who the work is for.
Who is A Soul's Life for?+
The series is written for children and readers of all ages. Younger readers can enter through the imagery, rhythm, and simple questions; adults may find another layer in the philosophical and spiritual themes. It can be read independently or used as a starting point for conversation between generations.
Is A Soul's Life suitable for children?+
Yes. The books approach large ideas through accessible language, illustration, and story. They are intended to invite curiosity rather than demand a particular belief. Parents, caregivers, and educators can also use the pages to open conversations about gratitude, empathy, identity, purpose, love, and the meaning of being alive.
What makes the series different from a traditional poetry book?+
A Soul's Life combines rhyming poetry, narrative progression, philosophical questions, full-page illustration, and a glossary. Navaji writes and illustrates the work himself, so image and language are developed as a single experience rather than as separate layers.
Do readers need to consider themselves spiritual?+
No. The books emerge from Navaji's spiritual worldview, but the questions are human ones: What gives life meaning? How do we care for ourselves and one another? What do love, awareness, gratitude, and growth ask of us? Readers are invited to engage from their own beliefs and experiences.
What is the complete five-book series?+
The planned arc is The Soul, The Body, The Heart, The Mind, and The Life. Together they move from the soul's anticipation of embodied life through physical experience, feeling, thought, and reflection.
When will Book 2, The Body, be available?+
The Body is the next volume. The five-part series has been written, and Navaji is completing the illustration and page-development work required for each subsequent book. A new publication date will be announced when the volume is ready rather than before the visual work is complete.
What languages are available?+
Book 1 is currently available in English and Spanish. Additional translations remain part of the long-term vision for NAVA BOOKS, with future editions to be announced as they are completed.
What themes run through the series?+
Meditation, gratitude, love, empathy, wisdom, self-worth, interconnectedness, embodiment, and the transformation of challenge into growth all appear across the larger arc. The series also invites readers to remain curious about questions that may never have one final answer.
