The
Camera

An image is not merely taken. Its essential nature is witnessed, directed, and called forth.

The eye behind the lens

Vision made
visible.

Navaji approaches photography as an act of direction—the same practice through which he constructs a theatrical world, composes a canvas, or guides a performer toward the truth of a role.

Technical theatre taught him how light, texture, costume, gesture, and space can transform perception. Painting taught him to recognize the architecture of an image before it exists. His spiritual and humanitarian practice taught him to look past appearance toward essence.

Behind the camera, these disciplines converge. The goal is not simply to document a subject, but to perceive the direction already present within them and create the conditions for it to emerge.

Conceptual portraiture

ATMA
Artist

The everyday becomes archetypal.

ATMA Artist is an evolving portrait series devoted to the essential character within a person. Friends, artists, and public figures are translated into images that recall modern deities, saints, mythic beings, and enduring archetypes.

The work does not disguise the subject. It heightens what is already there—drawing dignity, mystery, humor, grief, power, and spiritual presence into view.

The
Burn Room

A visual identity built around discipline, intimacy, and heat.

Created for The Burn Room, a luxury Pilates studio in downtown Austin, this campaign translated the studio’s physical rigor and refined atmosphere into portraits and social imagery with a coherent editorial voice.

Artistic accord

Not simply for hire.
Available for alignment.

Navaji’s photography does not operate as an open booking service. New work begins in mutual agreement—with a person, story, organization, or vision compelling enough to enter fully.

Thoughtful inquiries from artists, cultural institutions, and selected brands are welcome when the collaboration calls for conceptual depth, editorial direction, and a distinct world of its own.
